Anne-Marie will present two sessions during the program. In the first session, “Hiring and Firing: Legal Dos and Don’ts for Crucial HR Functions,” she will explore topics such as crafting legally compliant job descriptions, best practices for offer letters and background checks, developments in salary transparency laws, and creating defensible documentation for disciplinary actions and terminations.
In the second session, “Leave and Accommodation Considerations,” Anne-Marie will address recent developments in state leave and accommodation laws, their interactions with workers’ compensation, and strategies for managing leave as a reasonable accommodation.
